When we first discovered this nursery belonging to a two year old boy named Michael, living with his family in Germany, we immediately knew that we had to make a roomtour of it here on Kids Interiors. We love how the earthy tranquil tones are energized by the interesting patterns and elements found in the room. We spoke to Svetlana, Michael’s mother, and here is what she had to say about it.

“My goal was to create a really special space incorporating the most beautiful nature tones, which are in my opinion fall colours”

“I chose the Koala wallpaper for its charming appeal and it determined the colour thread throughout the room. No other colours were added into the room apart from those found on the wallpaper.”

She further explains that the contained colour scheme together with many interesting details created a balanced atmosphere which was ideal for her son’s calm yet playful nature.

Svetlana also reveals that she didn’t really have budget to stick to, but didn’t want to spend fortunes either. However, right from the beginning, she knew that she didn’t want to save by not buying the wooden playhouse, which was a must.

In this creative nursery there were also some décor pieces that Svetlana made herself -the leaf garland, lion head wall decor, elephant soft toy, fabric mushrooms and the linen birthday crown. She really put all her heart into Michael’s room – Such a lucky boy!
