Wouldn’t you love to give your kids a magical space of their own which will inspire creativity and imagination? Well, there are many ways to do that, and one of them is to recreate the infinity of the sky. To make it even more magical, opt for a night sky theme, where you can bring stars and the Moon close to them, because every child should feel like the stars are reachable. Here are some ideas on how to introduce this motif into their room.

LOOK UP KID!

Let’s start with the most logical way to include the night sky into the kids’ room – paint the ceiling deep blue and draw small white dots with UV paint. This way the stars will glow in the dark, and make the kids feel like they are sleeping under the beautiful vastness of the sky. You can achieve the similar effect with moon and star shaped glow-in-the dark stickers. If you are feeling really inspired and ready to invest more time in this project, you can imitate the constellations and help your kids learn about astronomy early on.

SKY ALL AROUND

Don’t stop at the ceiling. Turn the entire room into an infinite space of nightsky, by creating a seamless transition between the ceiling and the walls. You can also mix the paint with some glitter and create a shiny effect all around.

SHINE ON, MOON AND STARS

What’s your first association on moon and stars? That’s right – the light. You can buy light fixtures shaped as moon and stars, but you can also make your own. In fact, moon lamps are much easier to make than you would expect, and there are also tricks for DIY star projector. A simple way to give the room some pizzazz is by using old Christmas lights.

THAT EXTRA SOMETHING

Every kids’ room needs that extra something that will make it even more special. In this case, that can be a moon shaped crib or an adorable play tent with constellation canvas. The tent can be made even more special if you hang Christmas lights to mimic the star light.

JUST A SPRINKLE OF ACCESSORIES

The room will look even more amazing if you hang various stars and moon shaped accessories all around, but that’s not everything. Artwork, canvas prints and photographs can also be great additions. Just think about it: framed kids’ poem “Good night moon, goodnight stars, goodnight noises everywhere” or some other poem/quote about the sky, how absolutely lovely…
