Lucie Chauviré discovered Instagram when she was on maternity leave and browsed for hours looking for small creative labels and incorporated some of her favourite ones in her daughter’s Zélie’s nursery. She loves to create herself but as she doesn’t have enough time to create everything herself, buying unique crafty goods from designers was a good alternative. When the family moved to a house in Rouen in France, Lucie was able to create the nursery that she had already imagined when she was pregnant. Let’s take a closer look at this sweet nursery in pastel hues with perky pops of neon pink and contrasting accents in black and silver.

The first piece Lucie made herself for her little baby’s room was the dreamcatcher which is an object full of love and emotions as Lucie imagined how Zélie would observe the colours she had chosen for her nursery room. She also made the the pastel pink blanket with a bright neon pink pompom trimming on it which can be seen on the storage chest from Kid Kraft Toys.

The changing table mat was custom-made by choosing a plain grey cotton combined with a flowery fabric from France Duval Stalla with bright pink trimmings. Above it hangs a pair of angelwing lights like protective guardians by Pas Si Sage Bordeaux.

The beautiful grey rug with pink stars comes from Lili Pouce and is practical too as it can be machine washed. The cot was passed on from Zelie’s older sister who no longer needed a cot and was repainted in grey to fit with the colour theme.

The teepee was purchased for Zélie’s first Christmas from one of Lucie’s favourite kids concept stores in France, Smallable. It is adorned by paper pompoms by Sous le Lampion and the letter “Z” from My Little Day. The bright pink pompons from So Happy Flo Shop add a pop of bright pink to the pastel pink harlequin teepee.

The wall behind the cot is painted in a soft powdery pink highlighted by black polka dot stickers from Trois Pommes dans un Panier and eyelash stickers from Cassis et Petit Houx.

Lucie tells us that Pinterest is also a great inspiration source but Instagram has really made her connect with other supermums that she has been able to meet in real. You can also connect with her via @momsweethome
