Lisa Janvrin is the designer and owner of YouthfulNest, a design studio that specialises in nursery and kid’ srooms. Her worldly travels between cities such as New York, Milan, Istanbul, ParisĀ  and Moscow aswell as her broad experience in the design field fuels her eclectic and creative style. She has also developed a unique ability for blending vintage, retro, classic and trendy that we really cherish. Today we invite you to have a look at one of her latest projects; the room of a little girl called Graelin which has an extra bed for her friend’s and cousins sleepovers.

There was alot of fun preparing the design of this room as Graelin got to paint her own painting together with one of her cousins which throne above both beds. We love how Lisa seems to have drawn her inspiration from the childrens artwork as the colours from their bright and colourful artwork is found on different details around the room such as on the cushions and pompom details on the curtains.

The golden dot duvet from PB Teen pops it all up and matches the golden lamp and the supercool (and fun!) gold sunglass pillow from The Land of Nod. The funky sneaker sheets are from Serena and Lily and the letter and thread pom-pom pillows from Target.

pink beanbag

The flashy pink beanbag from Target is perfect for a little girl’s reading corner and the faux-fur rug from Ikea adds extra cosyness and comfort.

The white wall book shelves from Target are really practical as they can be placed at a low level so the child can pick her own books from the shelves. It is also easier for the child to pick her favourite books as they are placed in slots showing the frontcovers of the books.

diy blue dresser

The dresser is a refurbished and repainted old dresser with new knobs and looks stunning in this deep blue colour.
