When you walk into a toy store, you will probably come across a lot of different building and construction toys with blocks or bricks promising your kids plenty of fun and creativity. However, there is always that one brand which continually stands out from the crowd – you guessed it, we are of course talking about the one and only LEGO. Considered as one of the most educational and inviting toys available, these bricks have taken a special place in many hearts around the world including both children and their parents.
This time we are not here to talk about the toys; our focus is going to be directed towards kids rooms and how the famous LEGO brick and iconic figurines can enrich the place and make it more fun! So, if your little one is a fan, let’s grab a LEGO set and go through some ideas and examples together brick by brick.
NOT SO THEMY THEME
At Kids Interiors we have been devoting a lot of our writing towards themed kids’ rooms, and you have probably been anticipating the same with this article. Now, we are going to go down a different road with LEGOs and show you how it can be added subtly and still make a significant impact without the need to add a huge LEGO logo or overwhelm the room in a million different colours.
POP OF YELLOW
Why don’t we start from the top and add a pop of yellow with the well-known LEGO mini-figurine head! In an all black and white or monochrome room, this piece is going to stand out from the other decor pieces and cheer up the place with its smile. This way you will make a big statement with as little effort as possible. But, don’t stop there! You could also go a step further and add even more pops of the same shade of yellow around the space to complement the mini-figurine head.
FUNKY SKELETON FIGURINE FOR MONICHROME LOVERS
If you want to keep the monochrome mood in your kids’ room, then opt for the LEGO skeleton figurine head instead. It’s spooky and cool, and whether or not your kids are LEGO fans, they are going to love this new decor piece!
LEGO STORAGE BRICKS
You can create a similar effect in the room with the LEGO storage bricks, only now you’ll have a lot more freedom due to the diversity of colours at your disposal. Choose the same hues as the rest of the room, use it to add pops of colour or let your little ones choose which colour they like.
Play around just like you would with any lego pieces! Combine them with the figurine heads, experiment with different shades and brick sizes or get more than one and let your kids have fun by stacking them together. The best thing about this theme is how effortless it can be, and how easy you can update it once kids outgrow their favourite little yellow fellow (if that’s even possible).
