Chances are that your little boy has asked for one of the typical boyscolours in his bedroom..and maybe it’s red? Good news! It’s a colour that is associated with strength, warmth, masculinity and action thus having a stimulating and energizing effect on his mind and body which is beneficial for growth and development. However, if your boy is a litte athlete then too much red can have an over-energizing effect on his body wich is not really ideal for bedtime. Always use red in moderation by placing it as accents only in his bedroom. Let’s have a look at some examples.

3. Choose red bedding or place a red blanket on the bed
4. Paint a furniture piece such as a chest of drawers or a table red
5. Add a red accent to the boysroom with a red vehicle ride-on

Wow, I had no idea that too much red in a room can have an over-energizing effect. My sister wants to have her son’s room remodeling as he grows. I wonder if she should get him a real bed, one that will last.
I better not choose red for my boys room if it will make him too agitated in the evenings! lol
