The Jakopina knitting studio is located in a small and green alpine country of Slovenia in the heart of Europe, and has a knitting tradition that goes back a hundred years. Living and working in a green and sustainable environment, it seemed only natural to the now fourth generation family members to continue the tradition focusing on sustainable materials as well.
The attention to materials and personal well-being has lead to the development of sustainable baby blankets that are made with 100% GOTS certified organic cotton, which is especially suitable for the sensitive newborn skin and children that suffer from allergies and dermatitis.
Custom made and personalized
The Jakopina baby blankets are unique, as they are custom made and can be personalized with an inscription added with your baby’s name, date of birth, family name or other, such as “my princess“ or “sweet dreams“ etc.
The blankets can be a one-of-a-kind gift for newborns, baby showers, birthdays or other occasions.
The passion and attention to detail reflects on high quality baby blankets that will keep your baby warm and safe, escorting your newborn on the path to childhood. The baby blankets can be used in prams and strollers, smaller or bigger baby cots, for cuddling, when taking a nap or as a playmat.. They also make an adorable and a sentimental family heirloom.
The Jakopina baby blankets are hypoallergenic, skin-friendly, suitable for very gentle and sensitive skin and skin prone to irritation, itching, and rash; and also suitable for newborns.
Sustainable and nature-friendly
The knitting production and materials used do not exploit the labor force and are not tested on animals, the blankets are therefore also suitable for vegans. Organic cotton is not only skin friendly, but also a biodegradable material and therefore a sustainable option to polyester-based blankets.
The baby blankets are shipped washed and ready to use. In the process, only natural, skin friendly and odorless washing cleansers are used. Your blanket will arrive carefully folded in ecological boxes from recycled paper. You can continue to use the packaging to store the blanket or for other projects. Once you no longer need it anymore, you can discard it to the wastepaper.
