Today we’re sharing a simple and sweet nursery with you which belongs belongs to one year old Zoe. The family lives on the East Coast of Australia, and Lauren, Zoe’s mother, kindly introduces you to her universe and the nursery she decorated with lots of love for her daughter.
“I started my Instagram account Nest and The Rest simply to share images of my home that made me happy, as I love gaining ideas from other creatives on Instagram. I’ve always loved interiors and I suppose I was styling my own spaces from an early age. While my friends are watching Netflix, I’m making moodboards or flipping through magazines and I’ve been this way as long as I can remember. I am drawn to a minimalist, contemporary style which is always neutral in essence, but with hints of colour from foliage and decor items which usually draw on colours from the beach- sea foam being one I am consistently drawn to.”
“Timber is a favourite too, for the life and warmth it gives, and I often feel a space isn’t quite finished until a little oak and a touch of greenery are added”
“I am lucky enough to live the coastal lifestyle in NSW, surrounded by both our families as well as many long term friends, and I spend my time by the beach with my husband Nathan and one year old daughter Zoe. I am currently on maternity leave from my usual career as a Primary School teacher. This means most of our days are spent walking along the lake, coffee in hand, dog by our side and planning what project is next in line for the house!”
