We are delighted to feature a boy’s nursery designed by Jacqueline Gilbert at HoneyJam Design interior studio for you today. The nursery belongs to a little boy called Simon who has an older brother who comes in and plays in it too so it was important that the space was comfortable and practical for both of them. The items picked for the nursery work just as well for a baby’s room as for a toddler – mostly chosen in a transportation and city theme against a crisp canvas of blues, greens and yellow colours.
The blue rug from Land of Nod is quite dominant in the nursery because of its size but so practical as Simon and his brother can sit on it and play together. It’s not in a typical babyblue colour but in a rather fresh tone which gives the whole nursery room an uplifting and stimulating feel. A practical and comfy bean bag chair from Serena and Lily is ideal in this nursery as Simon’s mother can nurse him while sitting at a low floor level and being able to attend to his big brother at the same time.
The colourful vehicle mobile is from MoMA Design Store in New York and the striking white crib from Serena and Lily.
The changing table in natural wood from Restoration Hardware stands out against the white walls with an artprint from Ingela P Arrhenius hung above it.
The red car pillow is from Jonathan Adler and the leather ottoman pouf from One Kings Lane.
Adorable wooden city and vehicle toys decorates a table.
Wheels have been placed on a vintage lemonade box which makes it a great book storage box. The white sidetabe is from West Elm.
