Ksenia and Yulia at Sweet Little Ones met whilst they were both studying Interior Design in London. Jobs in design followed, years passed and it wasn’t until they started having children of their own the idea of Sweet Little Ones was born and evolved into what it is today. What these mums offer are beautiful and affordable room designs wrapped in a simple rooms-to-go concept. With their vast expertise, they have sourced everything you need to create a gorgeous and functional nursery, a bedroom or a playroom for your child – saving you time and hassle. Let’s take a look at one of their recent projects, for a four-year old girl named Nicole, which combines bold statement pieces and charming sweet accessories.

graden themed kids room

The brief here was to design a bold yet soft and magical space – Nicole’s parents were not afraid of going for something non-traditional. “What we wanted to achieve with this room, and, in fact, any room we design is to inject a sense of adventure, fun and create a room that will encourage a child’s imagination ” Ksenia and Yulia explain.

Stepping away from the girlie pinks the decision was made to go for a beautiful botanical wallpaper from Graham & Green which makes a strong statement but paired with sweet and charming accessories is not overpowering.

The idea of using blackboard paint was to encourage creativity and add playfulness to the room, adding an element of freedom and fun. From day one it has proven to be very popular. The gold accessories and posters look great on the black background, and ‘Be Bold & Brilliant’ saying offers a personal touch.

The two designers fell in love with the truly unique and whimsical water painting prints from Mrs Mighetto and chose Miss Alice from “The End of the Forest” collection to complete the truly mysterious and dreamy space for little Nicole. It really is a magical space for a child where the imagination and creativity can run free, where Nicole has her own little nooks where she feels like she is in her own little world, her own magical garden.

Vita Eos feather shade lamp

The Vita Eos feather shade might seem like an unlikely candidate for such a bold room but it adds softness and having different textures and layers is key to making a room ‘alive’, warm and welcoming. The use of rugs, baskets made with natural materials, bedspread and even the canopy take the room to another dimension.

Sweet Little Ones believe that a kid’s room can easily grow with your child by adding or removing elements and by thoughtful and careful planning from the very beginning, easily transitioning into a teen room.
