Today we bring you to visit Lila Rose’s supercosy pastel girl nursery designed by her mother Audrey who lives in France. Audrey has used her creative interior design and diy skills as she wanted something truly unique for her daughter and customized basic pieces of furniture and the walls herself.
The girlnursery has a soft and calming feel to it throughout, which is vivified by perky graphic details such as the diamond pattern that Audrey painted herself onto the Ikea chest of drawers and the graphic pattern found on the Nobodinoz bumper and the black and white blanket.
Against a smoky blue wall, the white crochet dreamcatcher from Bordézac and the garland with dashes of gold clouds really take the spotlight. The cute plush softie angel rabbit from Trousselier in the cot with his friends on the babymobile makes it all look pretty sweet too.
Softness is also brought about by the round paperlamps from Le Lampion in mintgreen, pink, white and blue and fills the corner perfectly. The designer rocking Charles Eames style chair can be found at The Happy Connection where you can find them in all sorts of happy bright colours such as fuschia pink, yellow, mint green etc.
That’s what we call a succesful Ikea diy hack! Audrey painted diamonds in pink, white and lavender colour onto two drawers alternating with a dusty blue on the others while leaving the frames unpainted. The final touch with the silver knobs make it look a thousand dollars!
The Ikea chest of drawers is ideal for kidsrooms as you can place decorative and fun items in the niches.
Clothes can be a decorative feature in the kidsroom as it is so beautifully done in this girlsnursery by displaying them hanging from a branch.
Audrey painted the branch white and suspended it under a white Ikea shelf and by placing colourful garlands on the branch and beautiful kidsdecor items such as small decorative suitcases and a love sign from Maison du Monde she made this corner of the girlsroom truly interesting and charming.
Audrey’s painted pink, fuchsia and white diamond wallart really makes a statement in Lila Rose’s nursery. The floorboards have been painted white which adds brightness and a crips look to the girlnursery. The Miffy bunny lamp was found at Maginea.
The little wooden houseshelves from Zodio are made in untreated pine so can easily be customized with your own paint, wallpaper or tape.
So much attention has been paid to detail and we must congratulate Audrey for all her talent decorating such an unique and charming pastel girlnursery!
