This is the nursery room of Josephine, 8 months old, the youngest child of a family with four children who lives in Malmö, Sweden.

stokke cot and nursery bed

We love the calming tones and elements that have been brought into this nursery, as the felt swan by Sew Heart Felt, the blue colour of the bedding by Garbo & Friends and feather mobile by Bisou de Lou. The Rêve (means dream in french) and the moon decorations were bought by Josephine’s mother, Peggy, during one of the family’s holidays to France. The rectangular Stokke Home Crib is designed like a house which gives a protective and cosy feel to the nursery.

This is the right side of the Stokke Home crib where the cot that comes with it can be placed. It can also be removed and placed in a frame to become a little cradle which can be moved around the house or placed next to the parents bed at nights. The other great thing about the home crib is that you can hang decorative elements on it such as these wooden giant beads from Design Fuers Heim.

changing table Ikea

Great DIY tip: the Ikea changing table has been painted white and had some little black spot stickers placed on it which looks perfect with the black and white poster.

The cot has been taken out of the bed and placed in the cradle that comes with the Stokke home crib. The cot also has two heights so you can take off one side when your child is old enough to get in and out alone. We love the multifunctional and practical design!
