Patrycja Apostolakis from Sydney, Australia, makes the most beautiful woven wallhanging we have ever seen! The colours, the mix of yarn and the patterns are so incredibly beautiful and unique that you could have it as your only decorative centerpiece in a room and keep everything else white. Or you could have one custom-made to suit the décor you already have as they can be made to order according to your moodboard or specific wishes. When Patrycja decorated the room for her daughter, Ava, three years old, she wove one that recalls of some of the colours found throughout the room. The combination of Patrycja’s love for handmade and vintage and Ava’s love for colour and girly looks made this incredibly gorgeous space that she invites us to discover today.
Ava’s favourite piece in the room is the white metal bed with its vintage look and she loves to be able to reach out easily to her books on the shelves next to it. It was also Patrycja’s must-have and starting point for the room.
Patrycja went for a bold eccentric pattern on one of the pillows which is surrounded by more discrete flowery patterned pillows in a vintage country-house style. It makes it really stand out but doesn’t isolate it either as a similar blue can be found on the woven wallhanging.
Patrycja’s personally loves the vintage white chest of drawers that she cleaned up and changed the handles to more modern leather ones. It’s a piece of furniture that Ava can grow with as she will defintely need it for several years to come.
Whimsy dolls and details have been combined with crafty elements such as the wooden rainbow and wooden trees.
